Please read all Terms and Conditions of Warranty in Detail below for all Customers below. 

 

Terms and Conditions of Warranty

  1. Customers must register their warranty within 1 month of purchase by completing the online warranty card at www.inokim.com online at the bottom of the home page footer. Failure may render the warranty void.

  1. Customer must keep their original invoice of purchase and produce this when making any warranty claim. Failure to do so will render the warranty void.

  1. The warranty is limited to the original Customer only and is not transferrable to any subsequent owners.

  1. The warranty is conditional upon the presentation of the Retailer’s purchase invoice and the certificate of warranty that matches the chassis number.

  1. The warranty is conditional upon the customer’s signature, the date, the customer’s name and his/her attestation with regard to reading the use instructions, understanding their significance and receiving an accurate explanation regarding the product’s operation.

  1. The warranty claim must be approved by Inokom and Eco Scooters at their discretion before any repairs are done.

  1. The Product itself must be serviced within 6 month period or every 1000km which ever is first, of the Product being purchased either by an approved service agent, Inokim Australia or Eco Scooters at their workshop. This Service must be completed within 6 months throughout the first 12 month warranty period. Failure to do so will void any warranty. The customer agrees and is aware that the product must be repaired solely by INOKIM or an approved service agent and any repair that will be carried out elsewhere will cancel the warranty unless authorized.

  1. The warranty period is as follows:

    1. Warranty period 
      12 months’ warranty (1 year) from date of purchase: Charger, Motor, Controller. 
      6 months’ warranty from date of purchase: T- bar, Main Steering Extrude, Front Wheel, Folding Mechanism, LCD Throttle, Battery, Main body.

    2. Clause 8.a refers to the models known as Super Light, Super Light 2, Quick3+, Mini 2, OX and OXO.

  1. This warranty does not cover:

    1. Conditions, malfunctions or damage caused by incorrect usage, maintenance or adjustment as advised in the user manual;

    2. Conditions, malfunctions or damage caused by or during the time that a user is under the influence of drugs, alcohol or any other mind altering influences;

    3. Conditions, malfunctions or damage caused by acts of nature;

    4. Conditions, malfunctions or damage caused by or as a result of the customer self-modifying, decomposing or destroying the parts without prior authority from the manufacturer.

    5. Conditions, malfunctions or damage caused by the use of non-original parts or unauthorised circuit and configuration change.

    6. Fractures/raptures or loss of plastic parts inclusive of the choke, charging port, handlebar switches and plastic flaps.

    7. Any utilization intended for commercial needs, rental, competitions and freights towing.

    8. The utilization of components that were not supplied by the manufacturer (non-genuine parts).

    9. Bending of the aluminium parts, inclusive of the fork and the folding mechanism due to unreasonable use (power exertion on the handlebars and bumping into barriers/obstacles including walls or sidewalks, intentional or unintentional damage and punctured tires or inner tubes).

    10. Bending of the folding mechanism due to an incomplete insertion of the pin and the M button in the Quick Model.

    11. Rupturing of the folding mechanism which occurred due to an unopened latch in the Light Model.

    12. Conditions, malfunctions or damages caused to the battery by external shorts, inclusive of the charging system.

    13. Conditions, malfunctions or damages to a Product or Battery that has been left uncharged for more than 30 consecutive days.  It must be stored fully charged and recharged every month, otherwise it may not be able to take charge.

    14. Corrosion damages as a result of contact with water/humidity conditions.

    15. Water damage (these scooters are not to be used in wet weather and are not “water proof”)

    16. Tyres and inner tubes are not covered under warranty

  1. Misuse of the Product will void the warranty.

  1. The customer acknowledges that they are aware that the Battery capacity will reduce to 85% after 1 year (365 days) and to 60% after 2 years (730 days). This situation is normal and does not belong to the battery quality issue, please refer to the Annex 3 Battery capacity decay table available on request

  2. This warranty includes:

    1. Manufacturing faults detected upon the product’s receipt by the customer.

    2. Faults encountered in the electric power system, inclusive of the engine, battery and controller.

    3. Manufacturing defects in the diverse product parts which were revealed during the first week of the product’s receipt by the customer. 

  1. If the product has been repaired or replaced by the Retailer, Seller or Manufacturer, the repaired or replaced product will be covered by this warranty for the remainder of the warranty period or as long as a limited additional warranty period has been provided, on the same terms and conditions.

  1. The customer agrees and is aware that there will be no refund or return of the Product following the purchase.

  1. Service and maintenance will be provided solely by the Seller, as quickly as possible and every effort will be made to ensure service is completed within a reasonable time period.

  1. The warranty and liability of the Seller and Retailer is limited in any case to repairing and/or replacing the product in accordance with the guidelines detailed in this letter of warranty. Under no circumstances will the Seller or Retailer be obliged to provide compensation for bodily injuries, property damages, losses, hindrance of profits, prevention of use or any other damage that will be caused directly or indirectly as a result of usage of the product.

  1. Speed Limits, power and use of the Product is the responsibility of the Customer. The Customer is solely responsible for ascertaining and adhering to all local laws regulating the use of the product.

  

Battery Warranty Highlights

  1. The battery warranty is provided for the warranty period specified in the certificate of warranty, according to an expected annual deterioration rate of 25%.   Replacement batteries can be purchased.

  1. In case of a substantial deviation from this deterioration rate over time, the INOKIM Network will repair or replace the battery’s core, provided that the battery was used according to all the terms and conditions specified in the warranty and certifying that the battery was not exposed to a non-genuine controller. 

  1. When depositing a battery for examination: the handling time is up to 40 days sea freighted – no alternative battery is provided while the battery is deposited, even within the warranty period.

 

Additional Factors that may accelerate the Batteries Deterioration.

  1. Overloading, inclusive of an additional adult riding the Product.

  1. Ensuring product maintenance is being monitored by the buyer to avoid any deterioration to the electric system resulting in excess battery drainage. Product maintenance which is to be monitored by the buyer includes;

    1. Checking the air pressure

    2. Wheel alignment and balancing

    3. Monitoring the braking system.

  1. Moisture or humidity conditions, including staying in close proximity to the sea over time, which will cause damage to the battery and electric system.

  1. High temperature conditions, including locking the battery in a car under excessive temperature conditions.

  1. Storing the battery without charging/discharging for a time period exceeding 30 days – it is highly recommended to charge the battery at the end of every significant use period, there is no need in discharging a battery before charging it – it is recommended to wait for 30 minutes from the termination of use until the commencement of charging.

 

Instructions of battery use and charging safety:

  1. It is recommended to connect the charger to the electrical grid through an electric current stabilizer or a “lightning protection product”. In the absence of such a system, it is recommended to disconnect the charger from the wall socket after every use. Damage inflicted to the charger consequent upon current fluctuations in the electrical grid, is not covered within the framework of the warranty.

  1. The charger must be placed on non-flammable surfaces and at a safe distance from flammable materials such as a mattress, a rug, curtains etc.

  1. The charging process must be carried out under supervision in a ventilated location, such as a terrace. It is forbidden to charge the battery in bedrooms.

  1. It is forbidden to store batteries under high temperature conditions, and it is prohibited to leave a battery within a parking car in the sun.

  1. In the event of strange smells and odours, unusual noises, shorts, flickering of the indicator light or in case of sabotage or exposure to moisture – it is forbidden to use the charger yet mandatory to arrive immediately to one of the Network’s branches in order to examine and/or replace the battery.

  1. There is no point in discharging the battery before charging it.

  1. In cases of lack of battery use – it is strictly mandatory to charge/discharge the battery at least once a month. A battery that does not undergo a charge/discharge process, deteriorates rapidly and is destroyed within several months.

  2. A discharge of the battery is carried out by simply running the battery from full to 1 bar (or 1 point) and then stopping use and placing the battery om charge until FULL or at least 6 hours on a consistent charge.

  1. It is forbidden to use a non-genuine charger, which has not undergone an approval process in one of the Network’s branches. Use of a non-genuine charger will result in the warranty being void.

  1. The utilisation of a charger that does not suit the battery may result in conflagration and disaster.

  1. In the event of a burning battery, the fire must be subdued using sand, it is forbidden to extinguish a burning battery with water.

  1. No Warranty is provided for damage inflicted on the charger.

  1. In the event of damage inflicted during the warranty period, a deductible will be applied to the price.

 

Confirmation accepting terms and conditions:

  1. By purchasing the product, the Customer expressly states and agrees as follows:

    1. I hereby agree to use the product in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and all local laws in Australia.

    2. I am aware that the use of this product requires the utilisation of protective accessories, inclusive of a helmet, knee protectors, elbow protectors, riding gloves and suitable garments.

    3. I hereby indemnify and hold harmless the seller, retailer, manufacturer and every distributor on its behalf for any expense, liability, finance charge or loss incurred due to complaints, demands or claims that are filed against them or threatened to be filed against them by a third party owing to any damage or injury that is or may be caused as a result of using the Product in a manner which exceeds the speed limit or is not in accordance with local laws in Australia.

    4. I am aware that the product’s speed and travel range are affected by the rider’s weight, the wind, wheel air pressure and the product’s battery charge status. These can vary due to each of the aforementioned factors and therefore affect the final travel range,

    5. No Tampering with the device or changing pre-set speeds will void all warranty and may affect the safety of the device and increasing risk of injury.

  1. By Purchasing this Product, the Customer hereby agrees to use this Product with the utmost caution and in accordance with the Law in Australia, and relevant city/council Laws.

  1. By Purchasing this Produce, the customer agrees that they understand the relevant road rules, logistics and legalities involved with riding an Electric Kick scooter on public roads/pathways and parkways in their respective cities and councils.

  1. By Purchasing this Product, the Customer agree that he/she has read and understood the terms and conditions of the warranty as well as the manufacturer’s instructions attached, and in this regard, acknowledges and agrees as follows.

  1. The buyer agrees to use the scooter on private property only unless in some states such as Queensland where Electric scooters are legal to use within the current regulations. The buyer agrees to keep up to date with their relevant council and cities laws and regulations and follow them respectively.
